The beautiful art of Ballet, takes discipline and hard work to achieve great technique.
Flexability, grace, and stamina are needed for this dance genre, to give it it's effortless look on the stage.
Barre work - Here is where the technique is formed and built up. It is the woodern or metal barres in the middle of the room or on the walls.
Centre work - This is where you apply all the technical exercises learnt at the barre and perform them in the centre of the room.
Pointe work - These are the ballet shoes with the hard bottoms so that you can balance on the very tips of your toes.
Pointe work only begins, when your ankles, feet, strength is high enough to support you.
Pas de Deux - Working with a partner.
